John E. Wilking

A career litigator and former prosecutor, Mr. Wilking is a partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Olsen, LLP and works out of the firm’s Southern California office. Mr. Wilking is licensed in California and Florida. His practice includes insurance defense, general liability, bodily injury, and construction litigation.

Prior to relocating to California, Mr. Wilking practiced business litigation in Miami, Florida and was also a former partner at a well-known South Florida law firm, focused on providing legal representation within the insurance and healthcare industries, representing Fortune 500 companies, various local businesses, and healthcare providers in litigation matters primarily focused on premises liability, medical negligence, wrongful death, civil forfeiture, auto negligence, and all aspects of the defense of insureds in civil litigation. During that time, Mr. Wilking often presented as a guest lecturer at various South Florida hospitals for continuing medical education (CME) credits on The Understanding of Domestic Violence and The Prevention of Medical Errors in Healthcare.

Mr. Wilking began his career as prosecutor in Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit, Mr. Wilking represented the State of Florida in the prosecution of various crimes, including homicides, home invasion robberies, DUIs, and domestic violence. During that time, he obtained several years of invaluable first-chair jury trial experience.

When he is not litigating, Mr. Wilking enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. Among many other activities, they enjoy traveling, Florida Gators sports, Girl Scouts, and taking advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather.
