Dominique C. Oliver

Associate

Dominique C. Oliver is an associate in the Albuquerque office of Lorber, Greenfield, and Polito, LLP. Dominique is originally from Oakland, California and has been living in New Mexico since 2011. Dominique has dedicated her practice to civil defense since graduating from law school. Prior to working at Lorber, Greenfield, and Polito, Dominique worked at a national top rated civil defense firm where she won several dispositive motions in state court and obtained highly favorable outcomes for clients through formal and informal alternative dispute resolution. Dominique’s practice centers around defending businesses, corporations, and individuals in high exposure cases. Her practices areas include: insurance defense, construction defects, personal injury, premises liability, consumer claims, contract disputes, real estate, professional liability, dram shop claims, wrongful death litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.

Dominique graduated from the American Military University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies after earning an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from the Community College of the Air Force in 2013. She completed 11 years of proud service for the United States Air Force before attending law school at the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating in 2019. Upon graduation, Dominique earned a Certificate of Concentration in Indian Law and received the Mary Beth and W. Richard West, Jr. Award recognizing excellence in Indian Law. She served as Citations Editor for the UNM Tribal Law Journal, was selected for the UNM Arturo Jaramillo Summer Law Clerk Program, and achieved Honor Roll and Dean’s List honors throughout law school.

Dominique is dedicated to her community. She currently serves as a board member for the New Mexico Black Lawyers Association and is a member of the Indian Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico. Dominique is an active member of the State Bar of New Mexico’s Young Lawyers Division and remains an active alumnus of UNM School of Law, mentoring students on their pathway to becoming lawyers. Dominique also gives patronage through Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico, where she provides academic and professional support to high school students navigating career pathways and preparing for college.

Dominique is licensed to practice in the New Mexico State Courts, the United States District Court for New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit District Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the New Mexico Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.

Ms. Oliver’s practice focuses on all aspects of litigation including discovery practice, mediation, arbitration, and trials.
